Hi,

I'm Nelson, the owner of Hobby-Machinist.com, and Gary K was one of our valued members and a moderator. I just heard some terrible news- Gary passed on. I know he was very active on this forum also, and I didn't know if you fellas knew, so I wanted to let you know.

May he rest in peace.

Nelson

Thanks, Nelson.
Yes, we had been informed of his passing. A great loss for his family and friends, as well as the entire world as his skills and generosity will be greatly missed.

I am very sadly shocked to hear this news…

A very sad day…

A true Master at our craft…
... such ingenuity…
... logically thought-out NEW Techniques…
... New twists to OLD Techniques…

Gary will be missed BIG TIME…

I often wondered why he stopped posting & building so much… He did say he was going to be very busy taking care of his young daughter…

A few short years ago, he put out a Bulletin that he was going to be in So. Calif. & welcomed contacts…
I responded to find out that he was going to be very close to San Dimas, his home town.
I invited him to Pinnacle Peak Steak House for a nice dinner… he suggested that we go Dutch…
We had a wonderful dinner and time talking about all kinds of stuff… He showed me some beautiful wood he had purchased, in the trunk of his rented car…

I was thinking of contacting him again, very soon, to find out when & if he was going to visit again… so we could have another nice meeting…

I should have done it a long time ago…

Now, it's too late…

He's gone…

I wonder what the cause of death was… Related to woodworking… lung problems, etc. ???

I am very sad… I really liked him… He was a very nice guy… May he RIP…

My deepest condolences go out to his young daughter and Family…
... I really FEEL for them…

Additional postings about Gary...

WOW! ... I had no idea… If so, I'd say he got some very good use from it… used it to it's max.

James, you found it!
A mechanical valve…
Thank you.

God Bless him… RIP…

Gary,
Thank you for your wonderful presence…

If they have woodwork in Heaven, you will show them how to some of it…

LJ.

Jim,

Looks that way…

Our GaryK is Gary Kemper ... NOT Keedwell…

Gary's brother-in-law should know what he's talking about… IMHO…
