Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone from Australia if not Western Australia might be able to help me with my veneer sawing. I have made a number of attempts to re saw some jarrah veneer up to 100mm thick and I keep destroying blades. I can’t seem to get more than one or two small veneers before the blade is completely blunt? I order my blades from Hughes saw service in Osborne park. I have tried blades around 25 mm 3tpi also I have tried 18 mm 6 tip both have been useless. Am I doing so,e thing wrong or is jarrah just that hard to re saw? I have an old Italian built 18inch bandsaw that has been mostly re builds with all new bearings and wheel rubber. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
