Topic tags/keywords: plane stanley bailey 5 12 5-12 type 11

Cleaning out some of my planes and am selling this restored type 11 5-1/2C. The plane has been taken apart, completely de-rusted, cleaned and re-japanned using my homemade japanning process. The only small issue is that one of the sides is chipped out at the back corner. This doesn’t affect use at all, but did want to mention it.

Original rosewood knob and tote and V logo iron with good life left and the sole has been lapped reasonably flat. The plane is currently set up as a jack and sharpened with a very slight camber. It is an excellent user. Asking $70, which includes shipping to the continental US.

I think that’s a steal, tempted to take it myself to flip…..

I would love to have this plane. I have a No. 4 smoother and need a jack plane, and I think this would fit the bill just fine. I’ll take it if it is still available.
