As much as I hate to do it, I am going to put my new to me Stanley 45 Sweetheart with 19 cutters out for trade.
I am looking to trade for Black Walnut rough cut lumber or some other domestic hard woods I haven't worked with yet.
This plane is in "As Found" condition, not bad, probably usable, but I just do not have time to give it what it needs.
I was offered $145 in cash not long ago, but I would really rather do some trading or bartering.
It comes in the box built by it's previous owner, not fancy, but you can see the care he put into it.
Lemme know what you have to trade… tools would be considered also but PLEASE… No Young Children! Those townsfolk with the pitchforks and axes are learning how to sharpen!
Edit There are only 18 cutters I can see in the pictures.
Dang! I have a barely used 17 year old boy. Washes dishes. Takes out garbage. Really good at xbox. Doesnt start the first try, usually got to give him 4-5 tries. Then does decent job. Minimal amount of kickback (back talk). Some snipe (attitude)... but easily remedied by removal of xbox. Requires lots of fuel. Very kid friendly….. Want to trade? LOL
Thanks Angie, but I think I'll pass. It took me 18 years to get the kids out of the house for more than a weekend.
Then I heard that they like to move back in every so often…... so I moved and left no forwarding aggress!
lol I know a couple ppl named dallas, but that being your actual name never crossed my mind lol. It looks like something I could definately use. I just watch Underhill use this a few times the other day…made it look really easy lol. I sent a PM with the adress for some of the pics I took a couple months ago, so let me know what you think. That is some of the stuff I had inside, I have more covered outside I haven't looked at since I bought it, so I forget what all is in there…I know it's walnut though lol. I got $400 worth, so there is a nice sized pile.
A beautiful lady and a beautiful wood worker who happen to be the same person sent me quite a load of nice walnut and sycamore.
I wish to thank her very much and hope she enjoys the plane!
I'm as happy as a Camel on Wednesday!
