I’d like to match the finish of prefinished birch ply. Edge banding comes unfinished, of course.

The plywood came from Windsor Plywood in Western Canada. I don’t see any stain but I think the finish has a slight tint. Has anyone come up with a close match?

Prefinished maple edgeband is close. Hard to buy it
in small quantities.

You can also buy PVC edgeband and it looks pretty
good and is easier to trim than solid wood.

Remember the band will be at 90 degrees and
the light will hit it very differently so even if
the color isn’t perfect, it won’t be obvious to
the casual observer.

give it a little time and the sun will darken and blend it.
