Topic tags/keywords: question plane

Just picked up this little beauty from a local classified website.
Anyone able to enlighten me as fo what it is?
It’s a Stanley made in England, about 4” long.

Well that was easy, thanks Bob.
Funny you should mention not dropping it – I did have a very detailed inspection of the nose before purchase.

Part of the charm of this little plane is, its really not very comfortable to hang on to.
From what I found on them, Stanley offered it from the 1930s on.
They were in Union tool catalogs, perhaps from the 1880s. The price in a 1905 catalog was .50 cents.
Handy little thing to break a sharp edge anyway.

Dang, I paid $30AUD for it.
Can’t wait to get the little fella setup for use!
