Topic tags/keywords: resource miterbox

seems to be a Gem of a find, too

Just three pieces of wood, some metal parts, and a rusty, well used Disston/HK Porter backsaw. But wait, there is more!

The outside pieces fold down to become a miter box! Metal parts can be slid a bit, and even tightened up to barely allow the saw any wiggle room. There is even a ruler on one side!

Name in the circle says “GEM”. There is even a second spot with the name on it

This time it is a sticker. Just an $8 yard sale find….... I might have a better backsaw for it in the shop, too.

What? No Brass rod? These had a brass rod stored in them, that was then used to keep it from folding back up…....

$3 for the rod…...

That is so it will fit in a tool box.
