Hey All,
Could I get some advice? I have a DW788 Scroll saw that is a little over a year old and has only been used a few times. Fired it up after sitting for a few months and the unit starts vibrating really badly when I get the speed up to 5 and over. Any ideas what may be going on? I’d be extremely grateful for any input. Thanks so Much!!

Here’s what I’ve done so far:
1. Made sure the main pivot lever is greased.
2. Visual inspection
3. Had unit mounted to table.
4. Performed this adjustment I saw online for the tension lever (I think I did it correctly, not sure)
5. Made sure the counter weight for the motor was tight.

http://scrollsaws.com/ has some great information. Select Dewalt tune up from the menu on the left.

A good video for tear down is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjgSKrlt7LE from the Gwinnett Woodworkers Association.
