Topic tags/keywords: dust dust collector shopsmith filter bag band saw belt sander

My stepfather loved his Shopsmith tools and after he passed, these two items (in photo, with tape stretched to 36” for reference; my first post so I H) have surfaced long after, if you’ll pardon the expression, the dust settled and his woodworking gear went under the auctioneer’s gavel. I’ve had no trouble realizing the 12’ filter is for the SS DC3300 Dust Collector but there is no identifying marks or tag on the other item. It appears to be the bag for collecting dust and that attaches, on the narrow end (toward top of photo) near the business end of a band saw or belt sander. This item appears to be be new/never used. The 12” filter might be new/never used or maybe used a little. As I do not have Shopsmith equipment and don’t have any buddies who do, can anybody here on LumberJocks help me find a good home for these two items? Will sell or trade or will listen to advice on whether to use Ebay or Craig’s List.

Hey Jim, has been a few months since your post, but is the attachment filter still sitting around collecting dust?

Ha! Well phrased, SirTonka. Yes, I still have it and it’s still unemployed.

Have your say...
