Topic tags/keywords: workbench vise wood screw

Just wondering if anyone has recently purchased from Big wood vise?

I placed an order on June 7th, and haven’t heard from the company, despite 3 emails.

I don’t know if this is normal for the company (first time ordering from them), and if I should still expect my wood vise screw kit, or if I should file a paypal claim?

I’m chomping at the bit to continue with my workbench build, so that I can move on to other projects. . . (have some cherry sitting here waiting to be used up)

Feedback from anybody with a recent purchase would be appreciated.

Carl

From what I’ve read they will take your money and send you nothing. And then you can’t get in touch with anyone.

Carl,

Although the elapsed time since your order was placed isn’t out of the ordinary for some suppliers, the lack of reply to your correspondence is troubling, that, coupled with the post from TobyC.

I would file a paypal claim and see if that generates a response, if not then you’ve already started your refund procedure.

It’s your money, and their lack of ‘Customer Service’.

It’s been a while, and not trying to awaken a dead thread, but I felt I should say that Bigwoodvise.com did return my money, and explained that he was having some personal problems. Didn’t think it fair that I leave the rest of the people thinking I got ripped off, when I didn’t.

I just filed a claim with PayPal against Big Wood Vise. Same circumstances as yours, ordered July 27’th then sent two emails asking for confirmation and turn around time. No reply! Waiting to hear from paypal. I have a problem with Joe’s keeping the paypal option open given his issues. My bad for not checking here..
Now going to Lake Erie Toolworks.

Just checked and the BigWood Vise website is no longer available! Hopefully I can get my money back from PayPal.
