I realize Black & Decker isn’t the most popular brand on these forums. But I have a feeling
there are more than a few out there who own some of their cordless tools.

So thought I would pass this along. The next time you need an 18 volt battery, consider a
deal like the one I just got.

My Poulan gas powered weedeater went caput on me last year, and after a less than sucessful
attempt to replace fuel lines, etc., I decided a new weedeater was needed.

With the Poulan, I had to keep a gas can around as well as 2 cycle oil. Not real comfortable
with storing gasoline. Especially since my shop is growing with new tools getting added all the
time.

So I decided a battery pack unit was what I would get this go around. HD had quite a decent
selection to choose from. Then I saw a Black&Decker 18 volt weedeater for 79 dollars.

Since I already owned a cordless 18 volt B&D drill and a nice after market B & D charger, I thought this
would be a good choice. No new charger would be needed and with some luck, maybe the 18 volt
batteries are interchangable with my drill.

Well the batteries look almost identicle but apparently they are a little different but are interchangable
it seems..
I slid one in to my drill and it works. Its touted as Single Source. One battery, many tools.
