I am building displays with a turning base which will have a 12” lazy susan attached at the bottom. I would like to buy some nice crosscut wood for the base OR round discs , not crosscut. Mesquite or something cool looking would be nice. Cracks and imperfections in cross cut wood is ok as I would just fill with epoxy if necessary. Thickness is not too critical but diameter can not be less that 12” or greater than 16” or the lazy susan would show. I am open to ideas it you have something to sell me.

I have an old big leaf maple log that would make really nice discs, or “cookies” as I’ve seen them termed. Lots of color and hundreds of small burls, it’s been down for a few years and would need some hardener or similar stabilizer. But I live in Oregon, they would likely cost more to ship than buy. If you are interested, I’ll get you a pic but it would be next week.
