Topic tags/keywords: table saw fence

I Think I’m going to pick up a 4512 with a 25% HF coupon. Brings it to just under $400. I’m looking to upgrade the fence right away. It looks to me like the T2’s are sold out everywhere and won’t be back in stock until late July. What would you guys say is the next best good fence system at a reasonable price – like under $300.

Thanks!

I have the 4512 and I’m in the same boat with the fence. I’m leaning towards a Shop Fox fence on Amazon With shipping it’s about $250, and it’s got to be better than the stock fence!

The Shop Fox Classic linked above is a good choice. The Shop Fox W1410 is a bit cheaper….still a good fence, but not as popular as the Biese style SF Classic.

Vega fences are a good buy too.

A lot like putting a Mercedes engine in a Yugo.

Hi Bullet,

I’m thinking of upgrading the fence on my 4512.
Did you upgrade the fence? How did it work out? What modifications were required to 4512?

Hey DW,

I never did get the fence. I ended up returning the 4512 because of the famous blade adjustment issue. I hope yours works out better!

I got lucky and found a never used Ridgid 3612 for $300 on CL.

I love it so far – only bummer is that I had to make a system for dust collection. But it’s an awesome saw.
