Good for FEMA. The fertilizer company should be paying for replacing the school and all damages incurred including payments to those families that lost someone. Why should the government be responsible for the negligence and criminal actions of West Fertilizer?

Aah, I see. So although the OP was meant to draw attention to an archaic law in Texas it descended into a display of homophobia and general ugliness? Would that be an accurate summation?

”... a display of homophobia and general ugliness?”

Yeah, that would be an accurate summation. Or, as we in the U.S. call it, “political discourse”.

DKV – I agree with your premise (OP).

However – I think that the whole purpose of having a coordinated response to get cities and towns back up and running, would be the FEMA mission.

I felt that FEMA should have managed this – and then pursued the fertilizer company/insurance on behalf of the town, rather than leaving all the residents to INDIVIDUALLY have to fend for themselves against the corporate sharks and the deep pocket lawyers, to try to get their lives back on track.
