I’m looking to purchase a small lathe and duplicator for some projects and have a question regarding the Vega duplicator. Am I able to use the Vega duplicator only on the X axis for is there a way to rotate the cutter to use it on the Z axis as well? An example would be of a bowl type object, I know I could cut the profile of the bowl with it but could it be used to cut the “inside” dish shape of it as well?

Any duplicator I have ever seen is for spindles only (parallel to the ways of the lathe bed).
