Topic tags/keywords: nightstand backsplash arts and crafts

I am building this bedroom set, and currently finishing the nightstands. I was planning on installing the plain backsplash, but my wife isn’t so sure. Can you help us decide?
The dressers are already complete.

Plain backsplash…

No backsplash…

or the Wedge and Strap backsplash to match the dressers…

Thanks!

I would go no back splash. Nightstands typically end up with clocks and lamps perched on top, and the backsplash will create a hurdle for the power cords. just my $0.02

+1 Tomoose..

unless you had some stylized cut out between the top and the bottom of the back splash for cords. maybe incorporate a scroll design or curve?

That’s funny, until I scrolled down, I thought I was going to be the only one who said no backsplash. Funny, I think it looks good on everything but the night stands.

Willie, I just have to remind you and the others that a happy wife is a happy life. Therefore, make the wedge & strap backsplash. Besides which, it is a set and they should all match. I always defer to LOML on matters of aesthetics, design, style, etc. It has worked for 40 years and counting. :)

Agree 100% with “AandCstyle”! Wife first and consistency second. Besides, the wedge and strap backsplash are really ultra cool!
