Topic tags/keywords: question etiquette

New to this, so I was wondering what is the proper etiquette if you would like to replicate a members project you see here. Looking forward to your feedback and Thanks.

I’ll speak for myself Steve – Welcome!

I put stuff on these sites to share my ideas and maybe show off a bit in the rare moments when I have something good. If somebody wants to copy my ideas for their own benefit, they’re welcome too. That’s why I post things and ideas. It would be nice to be acknowledge and that is good etiquette. So if you have a particular item, pm that member and ask. If they say no then ask them why they posted. Forums are designed and set up for the purpose of sharing. That what friends do.

I would agree with Bernie. Just pm them and ask (can’t imagine someone saying “No”, but it is possible), and then when you post it, maybe make mention of who inspired your replication.

Just my $.02.

I always try to give recognition to the person who inspired you. Very common on this site. Start your bucket list now and it will be unmanageable in a year.

You can always save things in your favorites for future reference. I think I have a bunch in there. It is nice to give credit when you can. Good luck with your ventures and welcome to the site. I think you will enjoy it.

I post so that , if they want to, people can copy my ideas.
A “thank you” is nice but not mandatory.
