Great turning video on YouTube

very cool. I’ve seen a similar ornament that was drilled out, rather than inverted from blocks, but this opens up so many design possibilities.

I think I’ll be playing with these as well.

Spoiler Warning!

I love it when he puts the tree inside and you can see it spinning inside on the lathe. As the ornament at this point is square and the tree is round, the tree appears motionless inside the spinning block.

Talk about “uncarving the block” ...
