I’m having a huge brain far this morning and i don’t know anyone that would know the answer around me so i’m turning to you!

I’m looking to cut a walnut log in half and then butt the two slabs up against each other so the grain is mirrored for a future project. Isn’t there a different name for the technique of mirroring boards like this??

I’m trying to google for some inspirational ideas, but i’m coming up empty. When i search for ‘mirrored wood grain’ i’m getting search results for mirrors with a wood frame…
