So, I just got the June Rockler flyer in the mail and I just noticed these prices:

1.75 HP Contractor Saw: $1449
1.75HP PCS, 36” Fence: $2119
3HP PCS, 36” Fence: $2549

Is there a sale coming up or is that a (very bad) pricing mistake? The normal prices for those saws are $1599, $2469 and $2899, respectively (make it a discount of $150, $350 and $350).

If those are actual prices, they seem like a pretty good deal. There’s a couple things that make me think it’s a mistake though:
- No mention of it being a sale price or a “new lower price” (seems like you’d want to point that out)
- The middle picture shows the 30” fence despite the caption saying 36”
- I haven’t seen a sale like this in the past, only the yearly freebie of the mobile base or overarm dust collector
- When you’ve got a product where the pricing is so tightly controlled and seems to sell well, why would you suddenly drop the price?
- A little bit of Googling and I can’t seem to find any mention of this anywhere

If you plan on buying one in the next week, I’d say it’s at least worth holding off to see if this pans out.

Up til now, SawStop hasn’t allowed their dealers to have sales. I’m going to go with “mistake”.

I’d give Rockler a call and ask. I could see maybe one of them being an oops, but all 3 at a lower price? Granted they always have the disclaimers like “oops, if it’s our mistake in printing, sorry, but you have to pay the real price”. Makes one wonder too, if these prices are that screwed up, what else isn’t on sale :)

That is a typo, I talked to a friend who owns a wood working retail store that deals SawStop and they got a notice from SawStop about the typo and that Rockler has or will soon issue a correction. Apparently they were supposed to not send them out.

Correct, mistake. I got a follow up email last night saying it was a mistake and the correct price listing.
