Hey Jim,

I have the Rigid 1/4” crown stapler. The only problem it has (and I have had two with this problem) is that the trigger is set up so you can bump fire or single fire. When in the single fire position I get a lot of misfires. When in the bump fire position, it shoots the same way, but hardly any misfires. I have been meaning to take this one back, but my memory keeps failing me when I head to home depot. I like the gun, it’s just that one quirk that it has. Who knows, new ones may not be that way.

This past Summer I purchased a 2 HP 4 gal “pancake” type compressor that came with a brad nailer. The cost was only $128 plus the cost of a pneumatic hose and fittings. The addition of a stapler will not involve great expense.

The compressor can also come in handy for many other uses.
