Anybody out there using a Grizzly G1022 table saw?

My old Grizzly saw (model TSC-10) has a problem dealing with a dado stack that is discussed here. I finally got around to calling Grizzly and talking to tech about the problem. From him I learned that the TSC-10, while no longer supported, is basically the same saw as the G1022 and that a G1022 arbor would fit my saw. What I’d like to hear from a 1022 owner is if they have any dado/arbor issues similar to the ones I have with the TSC-10 (i.e. uneven or stepped). Thanks.

Use a stacked dado set on my 1022 every now and then and have had no issues at all. Clean side cuts, fairly smooth bottom, seems to work as well as a friends Delta.

Thanks Sawdust. From your experience I’m going to assume that the 1022 has a better arbor than mine and order a replacement. Thanks again for the response.

I’ve just joined the forum today. However, I’ve had a G1022 for about 6 years. I have had no issues of any kind when using a dado stack. I’m looking to build a mobile platform for my G1022 due to the limited amount of room I have in the garage bays… anyone do anything like this?

It might be the dado stack. I had problems with a Forrest Dado King fitting my G0690. I returned the dado stack to Grizzly and they checked to arbor hole and found it was not to spec. They replaced it with one that was, before I replaced the arbor I would start there.

It wasn’t the dado stack. I had the same problem with my dado set and my Freud box joint set. It was the arbor. I replaced the original arbor with a 1022 arbor and the problem was solved.
