I have been trying to find a source for Beatle kill pine in the widwest (Illinois) I used to live in Denver and you can buy it all over the place. I want to try and find someone that has it out here.

At this point it doesn’t happen east of the Mississippi River. If I was making a run, I would bring you some. It can be gold in areas where it doesn’t happen.

I’m in Illinois….but aren’t certain pines on the “Not across state lines” list because of the Asian Beetles? Of course I have a few small logs.. the blue in them are tragically beautiful. I go to Grand Lake Colorado every year.. the damage to the pines there absolutely breaks my heart…whole sections of mountain ranges are dead brown…. at least the Aspens are starting taking over, but now I hear that the climate change has brought the Aspen some kind of disease as well… sigh… they need to do a controlled burn soon to get the dormant Pine cones to grow again.
