Just looking at it, it looks almost like he might have carved it first and spelled it correctly but accidentally cut the ‘E’ off after it was carved because ‘CUT RIGHT’ is also off center. Anyways, LOL. Things like that happen to the best of us.

I was making a new fireplace surround out of redwood and I cut the top board three times and it was still too short! —- true story
