Martin,

Thanks for the new “Next” and “Prev” buttons available from within the initial detail project view screen. I can tell right now that I will be using the “Everyone’s Projects” button for navigating projects from now on. I will offer a suggestion at the risk of sounding like a complainer. I mean, after all, where else can you get something for free and complain to the owner and get results? Man!, I love the Internet, don’t you?

Anyway, here’s my suggestion. Leave the “Everyone’s Projects” widget alone. That is, when you first enter the initial detail project view screen, leave the widget viewing that project, the next project, and the previous project no matter what the other widget does. So, when you choose a project to look at in detail from the project thumbnail screen, you can look at it, and then choose to look at the details of the author’s work from the “Author’s Project” widget, and then, when you’re done looking at the author’s other projects, you can jump to the next project in the “Everyone’s project” widget instead of rejoining “Everyone’s Projects” relative to the “Author’s Project” widget.

Now I’m sure that’s as clear as fog so, feel free to reply or ask questions.

Thanks,

-- Jim

Hi Jim,

thanks for a tip. What you suggest is hard to do technically. Site would have to remember your Everyone’s Projects previous state while you use Author’s Projects navigation. It could be also a bit confusing because we’d have to distinguish between normal projects navigation and author’s projects navigation.

Thanks

Hi Martin,

I suspected it wouldn’t be easy. I wasn’t thinking of remembering it though. I was thinking of two separate widgets. One that shows Everyone’s projects only. In other words, it doesn’t pay attention to anything the other widget is doing. When you use the Author’s widget, you are just using a different browser than the one that is looking at Everyone’s projects. That may not be as difficult as remembering? Or is it more difficult because you can’t use two instances of the browser at once?
