Topic tags/keywords: cocobolo question

I don’t often pick up any exotic wood unless I have a project in mind, but a few weeks ago, a local supplier sold me on a piece of cocobolo for a song. I really liked the look of the piece, but for the life of me, I can’t figure out what to do with it. The piece is 19 7/8 inches long, 3 1/8 inches wide, and just shy of an inch thick. Any thoughts?

Hmmm.
Use a portion of it as a face on a bandsaw box??

Maybe build a small end table with maple or ash and use the coco for a drawer face?

Resaw it into 3/8 boards for a small jewelry/keepsake box? Small picture frame?

Have your say...
