I was just watching Ask This Old House and saw an excellent tip for glue cleanup. To demonstrate, Tommy glued the edge of one piece to the face of another, making a 90-degree angle. When he squeezed the pieces together, glue squeezed out of the joint, as expected. To clean the glue up, Tommy took a straw, forced it into the corner so that the straw took the shape of the 90-degree angle, and pushed the straw along the joint. The glue was scraped into the straw very neatly. And when done, he just snipped the end of the straw with a scissor, allowing you to use the now shorter straw for the next joint. How cool is that? -- There are three kinds of people... those who can count, and those who can't |
