Craigslist and other sites are far from the only ways to
find machinery.

No matter where you live, there is likely plenty of unused
machinery sitting idle in storage. Who owns it? Widows,
retired pros, people who inherited machines and never
used them.

Just because these owners are actively trying to sell the
machines doesn’t mean they aren’t willing to do so.

So – you want to get a lathe or a big bandsaw or something?

Print up some 3×5 cards telling you want to buy this and
that – put “WANTED: Woodworking Machines” across
the top.

Pin those cards up at hardware stores, nurseries, libraries,
church bulletin boards… anywhere they’ll let you.

You’ll get some bargains this way and meet some nice
people. Give it a try.
