Home Depot kept selling banned finishes (containing VOCs) in California even after the warning, and is now supposed to pay an $8 million fine. That’s gotta sting even for HD.

Yeah, screw the environment. To hell with clean air and water. Why aren’t we building more refineries in California valleys!? There are still acres of unspoiled land to spoil and clean water to contaminate! Damn those planet loving wackos.

But in all seriousness, I’m convinced that the majority of Cal regulations are designed to be profitable for companies like oil and gas. I mean, what a great deal, Cal gas can only be refined in California, which means the oil companies get to charge more for fuel that is actually more harmful to the environment than it otherwise would be. LOL!
