If I’m posting, it’s going to be a question that will demonstrate just how little I know. I am fortunate to have a 24” bandsaw. (I’m well over my head!) Here’s the question: what brand of blade do I need? From what material should it be made? Those are the two simple questions…probably. I know it’s going to depend on what I’m cutting, but as a general “starter kit,” what 2-4 blades should I buy for tight, curved cuts, for resawing, and for general cuts as I simply practice and learn the nuances of the saw itself? How about considerations such as TPI? Blade alignment? Pitch? Width? Set? Shape?

contact iturra design. there isn’t a more knowledgeable source of band saw info around. based on what you want to do, lou can weld up whatever you need. no web site, but he can be reached here:

whatever you do, don’t fall into the timberwolf blade trap. really reasonably priced but an unfortunate tendency for imperfect welds.

-- there's a solution to every just have to be willing to find it.
