Recently started using a Dewalt 618 router. I find that the depth adjustment ring is so hard to turn that I don’t bother. Looked through the manual but don’t see anything I’m missing. Any ideas on what I should check so I can use the ring.

The motor lever is unlocked, correct?
Be weary of the 618. Great plunge base, but unreliable motors. The magnetic speed control ring will shatter and you’ll be left with a single (full) speed router.
