Does anyone know of a good staining how to video…..this is the part I hate the most.

What are you staining?

I stained my shirt earlier with blood and I have yet to find a video where that didn’t suck. LOL

Seriously, that’s a big question.

Lol….well not a shirt ;). I think it is pine. But I get random wood at lowes for my projects and never really like the staining. I use min wax mostly with the poly in it already.

I generally bow to the masters of finishing, but there is just so many ways to finish pine.
Finishing wood is an art and time tested methods prove it,(notice the dichotomy).

I’m finishing 200 year old Turkish Walnut at present and would love to be able to boast about it, but it remains a work in progress. So, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-fe8-y9HpA

i watched a video on charles neil staining on youtube recently and it was informative i believe it was on pine.he’s considered a master finisher in many opinions.
