What would be the best finish to use on the coasters as water may be a problem from the drinking glass?

My typcial finish is a zinsser sealcoat (dewaxed shellac) to enhance the grain, and a good quality waterborne finish top coat. I use crystalac super premium, but target coatings makes some great wb clears too.

Wipe on poly is another good choice. The minwax is a good one, but my favorite wipe on poly is general finishes arm-r-seal.
