a while back, i posted a thread related to blade guard dust collection for my two emerson built TSs:

i updated that application yesterday using the OEM splitter /blade guard and some scrap i had around the shop(i had previously used a blade guard form a grizlzy TS that was expendable). a piece of 8/4 oak about 6” long and 1/4” thick was applied to the OEM blade guard over the sight line opening in the top of the guard. that piece of oak was bolted to the blade guard after a rectangular hole was cut in it to receive the hose nozzle of the shop vac. the open front of the blade guard was blocked with a tapered piece of 1/8”hardboard. seems to work pretty well, except for edge rips:

-- there's a solution to every just have to be willing to find it.
