I know this is kind of a dumb…but for some reason I feel like asking today. I'm interested in making something, but when I ask family, friends and other people if they need anything…nothing.
I have a small collection of tools, but whatever I dont have…I can find at my school.

I'm in college now for woodworking and have a job at a cabinetmaking shop, so I'm not completely clueless when it comes to woodworking

I'm just in one of those moods today, which leaves me wanting to make something.
Thanks for listening to me ramble on.

Easy to say boxes. Now some people say that too simple. Challenge yourself to do one that takes a greater skill level.LLike britboxmaker or some of the other top box makers here. Plus they are good for future Christmas presents.

I have really gotten into making tools. Marking knives, planes, gauges, awls, etc. The parts can be had for under $5 for marking knives and gauges as well as awls. Of course, a lathe helps if you want a round handle, but it isn't necessary.

Make a couple of birdhouses. Use up your scrap wood and make a bird family happy. It's fun to watch the little guys fly in with sticks and twigs and then hear chirping coming out of there. And the best part is that the birds don't care what kind of joints you used or what color it is (no color is best). Just don't use pressure treated stuff for obvious reasons.
