I turned this cedar bowl with lid almost twenty years ago. Wiped down with acetone before finishing with shellac . Lost track of it for couple years, had trouble removing lid, but once off found some cedar oil inside.
Made this on a Grizzly lathe using a faceplate and paper glue joints until discovered hot melt glue.

My wife has moved this bowl from her secret storage place to somewhere visible over the years. Have gone from not being able to remove the lid without brute force to lid not fitting then back to fitting like a glove. Other than collecting dust has no useful purpose other than helping me learn how to turn.
