Hi, everyone. I am making a picture frame out of wenge for my wife and I was hoping for some input on the best way to finish it. I’m pretty sure that I’m going to go with some sort of spray finish because of the complex profile, but I also want to make sure that the abundant pores in the grain are filled in so they don’t become dust catchers. Thanks.

Do not ever put paste wax or any other kind of wax on it… trust me, I know from experience!
I agree that spraying it is probably the best way to go. I have a wenge tray I am working on and will probably put on something with a foam brush… I may try oil or I may go with just a poly with many coats.
I’ll be curious to see what others recommend here.
