I noticed the knives shown were sushi knives (beveled on one edge only). I don’t think they are intended for heavy duty use, like chopping, or would stand up to harsh washing. They look to need gentle handling.

I was thinking the same think. You would not want to slice through a ham with them! they are intended for short entry chopping.
