With hand tools being popular to use again and getting tired of feeding the big box giants for over priced low quality tools. A local 4th generation wood worker decided he’d had enough and started making his own. Every piece is locally milled, heat treated, cut and built. The entire process gives money to the small mom and pop craftsmen and businesses around KY, while maintaining a quality you only find in the upper tier tool lines that cost much more.

Keep small business alive and share with those you think would be interested
Thanks

It is a fellow wood worker in my area but I don’t work or get anything from sales or anything like that. I’m just a true believer in local and small will change our nation for the better , as well as helping a good product get exposure. But yeah, for full disclosure if it’s needed, the owner is a friend of mine for many years. Doesn’t change it’s a great tool for great price. Take care

Those look nice for the price. I’ve yet to use or own an all wood plane, might give it a shot with these just for fun.

I think one of the owners of Nice Ash is sending out four planes to users on Lumberjocks to review. The planes look very nice and are modestly price, in my opinion. Looking forward to hearing what people think of them as users.

Just to let you all know, the Nice Ash block plane is pretty sweet. I posted a review in the reviews section and on my blog . It’s solidly constructed and I love the iron (1/4” O1 steel). For people like me who aren’t used to wooden planes, it takes a bit to figure out the whole tap here with a hammer to adjust the depth concept, but it is fun nonetheless. Once I honed it and got it adjusted, it was sweetness in action. The biggest takeaway I have is the sensation you feel in your hands as you plane with a wooden plane. Never done it before and it was remarkable the feedback you get from the plane as it glides over the wood you’re working on.

I’m hooked!
