Topic tags/keywords: question tools denmark planes

Hi everyone,

Hoping someone might be able to help me. We’ll be vacationing for five days in Copenhagen this August, and I’m on the look-out for vintage woodworking tools – especially European wooden planes. Anyone know of any tool sellers around Copenhagen, or Malmö Sweden? We’ll also be in Iceland for six days afterwards if anyone has any leads there.
many thanks,
Mike

Mads is from Denmark and likes hand tools. I think he might be busy as he hasn’t posted in a few days but you could ask him. Also have you tried searching for other LJers from the areas you are visiting? Workshops might show a couple.

Looking for tools there is fun. I shopped for some in Denmark in a hardwood store back in 1983 and asked for their best tin snips ( I am a sheet metal worker) they referred me to Wiss Snips. Made in USA at that time. Ha ha. In Norway I bought 15 carving gouges for about $3.50 each. I still have them. They were made in the UK.
