greetings earthlings,

Picked up an old Dayton 4” belt sander from a friend and the switch contacts, inside the trigger switch, are worn away. Model 2Z132 Type 1 86B Serial # HDE-6087. Got new belts, brushes good, new cord, bad switch.

Any help would be appreciated,

FredSmoot

I may end up buying a trigger switch that is close to the original, but no bigger, and making a mold of the original switch. Then put the new, smaller switch, “inside” the space, silicone caulked and staked. Presto, fixed.
