Hi. I have a Delta 22-650 Planer and I do not have the dust collection hood. Does anyone own one and be willing to send me a few pics and possibly dimensions. I can’t find anyone that still sells them so I want to build one. The pics would be a great help to my starting point. I appreciate any help. Sincerely, Flyboy

I built one for mine, but I don’t just give out the many hours of hard work that it took to figure it all out. Sorry.

Here ya go….

Many minutes (~20) to design and build. Freely shared!. Built from scrapes. Works like a charm.

Nicky. Thanks alot for the help. It is truly appreciated.

SawSucker. I was not asking for you to design, build, and install. It was a simple request that you could have just ignored. I am so glad my flight instructors in the Military didn’t have this attitude. I was going to just let your comment roll off me but I couldn’t.

I’m fully aware of what you asked for. Pictures and plans for free.

I should have clarified. I was originally looking for and OEM picture. So genius unless you designed and worked for Delta why don’t you just stay at your key board slinging insults at people for no reason. Trust me when I say you haveNOTHING I would ever want for free or for money. Better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are an idiot than open it and remove all doubt. Why you feel the need to be this way to someone you have never met and would never dare to say face to face is amazing. LJ has been a wealth of knowledge to me and I have had the chance to meet some great people it is because of someone like you that makes me think why bother joining anything. So please keep going without knowing everything. In my 23yrs in the Army I never had the displeasure of dealing with someone like you. I wish everyone well and want to say thank you for all the advice and friends I have met. Flyboy

ROFLMAO….......................

I believe charlie would piss off the Pope just to make somebody think his sheet metal and duct tape doo-dads are worth something. He’s genuinely pathetic.

Todd, I completely agree with you!!!

Fortunately, the majority of folks on here are decent human beings willing to share knowledge. By the way, thanks for your service flyboy. Good thing people like you are willing to serve their country and fellow man. If we’d left it up to sawsucker we would have a far worse country!!!

If you don’t have anything nice to say, go troll another forum.

But more to the point of the post, I took the floor sweep from my shop vac and attached it to my dewalt 733, works ok in a pinch.

Well excuse me, so you want to treat me like I’m just another woodworker who’s time and experience isn’t worth anything. Good for you. Oh and thankyou for the genius comment, especially when you can’t figure it out on your own.

”I’m just another woodworker who’s time and experience isn’t worth anything”

Ding, ding, ding!!!!!!

Congratulations, Chuckie!!!! You finally figured it out. The “expertise” you offer is completely obliterated by the very obnoxious attitude you continually exhibit. You’ve pulled this same crap here, FWW, Wood, WoodTalk, and every other site over and over again. How many chances you think you’ll get?

Admittedly, any reference to Charlie and genius in the same sentence should be a criminal offense.

Wow. I’m new around here, but I both appreciate all the inspiration and information I get from the members here, and am willing to chime in with whatever help I can offer in return. I’m just gonna chalk this one up to “the exception proves the rule” when it comes to the almost universal good will of the lumberjock community. Like mom said, “If you don’t have anything nice to say…......” I imagine Sawsucker (the name alone makes me wonder!) will be along shortly to flame me, but I’ve got my asbestos boxers on, so suck, er, I mean, “flame on!”

Hang around Picklehead, you’ll fit in just fine. This craft will survive because generous folks will continue to mentor. Certain folks around here (I ain’t mentioning Charlie’s name) feel like the world owes them something even though they don’t deserve anything. The good around here far outweighs the ignorant.

Samurai, Scott, and Picklehead. I appreciate the kind words and help. I was ready to chuck it in on the forum but after calming down I decided there is to many good people willing to offer help and advice. I will not stoop to his level and I will just ignore. This is my first heavier duty planer and after sharpening the blades and adjusting everything the dust collection was last on the list?. I was going to bend some sheet metal but what Nicky did with wood looks like it will work fine. I had a fellow pilot give me a 4’ x 4’ sheet of aircraft aluminum which I might still try. Thanks again everyone and I am not going anywhere. I will post pics as soon as I get it done. Flyboy

flyboy, don’t let Sawsucker suck you down as he does in any forum in which he pretends to participate!
