I was using my jointer tonight and when tightening the locking mech. on the infeed table the block broke. This is part 905788.

I have found the part for sell at lots of sites but the shipping is 1-2 weeks on the ones i saw where the shipping time was listed. I have a couple of commissions I am working on so I need a working jointer asap.

Anyone know of a place I can get this part quick? Also does anyone have an idea of how to lock down the table without this in the meantime?

And i just replaced the blades yesterday and it was working so well.

Unfortunately, Delta parts are getting hard to get at all. The one to two weeks may not even be realistic. The delay is because the purveyors don’t actually have the part. They have to get it, probably from Delta, and that’s where the one to two weeks comes in. Delta is virtually out of business, so if you can even get a part from Delta your doing great. But you have a time frame so I know this is not good news. I had a Delta 6” and know the part you mean. If you get a piece of 1/2” piece of iron or mild steel you could probably make a serviceable replacement with a drill press and tapping bits. It would take a few hours but it won’t take two weeks or maybe never. Sorry I don’t have any better news.

Have your say...
