I bought this unit with the thought that I would be moving to a bigger shop but that isn’t in the cards now. The unit has collected one bag of dust so it’s “like new”. It also has the optional noise suppressor.
Felder equipment is expensive. I’ll list the highlights that attract people to purchase Felder DC’s.
It exceeds Germany’s stringent dust collection standards and the unit can safely exhaust clean air to the shop unlike most dust collectors without excellent filters. The performance statistics were tested for air flow and particle count with 90 degree bends in the hoses and a dirty filter.
There is no setup or construction required – the unit is mounted on lockable castors and it fits under low ceilings. Dimensions (39¼ x 31⅛ x 76⅜)
4 hp single phase 220V power. 5” inlet. 1118 Max CFM. 80 db with the noise suppressor.
The dust bin has a window on the front so you can see when it’s full. It’s easy to empty the bin. Lift a lever, roll the 53 gal bin out, change the bag, replace the bin.
No dirty air or chips reach the impeller because all the air must past through the filters before it reaches the impeller.
A new unit sells for $4700. The noise suppressor and shipping are extra. I’m asking $2500 and buyer arranges shipping. I have some very high quality hose that goes with it.
