Topic tags/keywords: jig question

Can anybody tell me the difference between the Leigh D1600 and the Super 12 / Super 18 (apart from the size)

Thanks.
Andy

The D1600 is no longer available where the Super 12 / Super 18 are the replacements. There are suttle differances if you look at the pictures, most everything on the D1600 is machined metal vs on the newer versions have lots of plastic.

The DR4 Pro still is all metal.

Thanks for that, it’s just that someone has one up for sale over here, obviously cost of production is the governing factor again.

You may wish to call or email Leigh to see if parts are still available for the D1600 and if there are accessories for the new versions or additional functions they perform vs the old version. Have talked with them on several occasions and they are really helpful.

Yes, Leigh is very helpful. I do believe you can still get the parts.

Thanks chaps. We have couple of retailers for the Leigh Jigs over here one of them has a good variety of spares and accessories for the jigs.
They are not in plentiful use over here hence the reason for posting the question on LJ.

Thanks again for the help
