Topic tags/keywords: question oak finishing

Has anyone put something like thompsons water seal on an indoor table to help protect against spills? I would probably do a wipe on poly, possibly over stain. Then I was wondering if that would be enough protection for the tabletop and thought of the water seal idea….what do you think?
