I used this for the first time on a birch bowl I turned. I put it on wet and heavy and let it dry for about 20 hours.
I put a coat of poly on this morning and you couldn’t even tell I used a sealer. It soaked right in like it wasn’t even there.

I’d been using Zinners dewaxed shellac to seal my bowls for finishing and it didn’t work first time either but it did a hell of a lot more than GF did.

Any experiences to share with wood sealers. I may go back to Charles Niel even though I like it best for soft woods.

I use zinsser sealcoat with no problems, though I use two coats.
