Picked up some pallets today for the wood for craft projects. Ran some of it thru the planer and found some beautiful reddish wood. Attached to the pallets was a tag saying they were made in India. I’ve attached a photo, don’t know if it will help or not but it looks like cherry but is pinker. Was thinking it might be Mango. They say it’s their junk wood over there.

The species of foreign pallet woods can be almost anything. I have found some amazing oak and hard maple and many unidentifiable but beautiful woods among many locally discarded pallets throughout the years.
