at the woodcrafters meeting last night this scrib like device
even the old timer that brought it in didin’t know

was brought in it is about 4 1/2 inches long ….......

I was also thinking a divider of some sort.

My guess would be a reamer of some kind or a leather work tool.

the last time we had something we couldn’t identifie it was a leather tool.
it slides up and down too. only about 1/2 inch.
