I am getting ready to move into a new shop space and since my table saw will be apart it might be time to upgrade the fence. I own a Jet cabinet saw and while I have been very happy with the saw I cannot say the same about the fence. It is an Xacta fence, probably first version. Anyway, I am considering purchasing a 52” incra Ts Ls. Since the fence is not cheap I would appreciate any input from those of you who have used it.
1. I noticed that it comes with legs, as an option, to support the ends of the rails. After speaking with incra they suggested purchasing an additional set of the brackets that hold the saw to the main table for support. Has anyone attached the long rails to their saw? Since the legs extend a little past the end of the extension table is it better to use brackets or use their legs?
2. Has anyone used an overarm blade guard with incra? I currently have the Penn State model attached to the saw.
3. Is the incra a noticeable improvement over the Xacta?
Thanks in advance for any advice and help,
